Are you a big fan of Starbucks? Do you need a little extra pep to get you going in the morning? DoubleBugs is happy to help you in your endeavors to GET GOING in the morning. I know there are days when you just don’t feel like getting out of bed, but I am here to help you!

Ok here is the Deal…Now do your thing!

Leave me a comment on what it takes to get you going in the morning, a favorite breakfast recipe, or some hint or tip.

    Starbuck in the morning only gets me going and if I go to bed around 8-9PM then I really will have a good morning!

    Well, to be honest, it just takes a glass of water! I get up and feel tired and drink a glass of water, and about 15 min. later I feel wide awake. Thanks!

    I drink a large mug of coffee and get lots of kisses from 3 silly retrievers. After about 15 minutes I’m as awake as I’m going to get.

  4. The contest hasn’t started yet but I might as well leave my lit’l say soo now…or else I’ll forget!

    To get me going in the morning…short version…(good sleep helps!!) But mainly its a cup of Starbucks Italian Roast and a nice quick shower!~!
    OR
    The long version(meaning NOT in a rush)…::coffee brewing::…yoga/stretching and a morning devotional time. Then drink coffee slowly throughout the morning.

    It’s really my shower that wakes me up, but I can’t function at work without my morning coffee. Heavy cream, heavy sugar adds just the right touch.

    Before I even get out of bed I do a good half hour of stretching to get my blood moving and lubricate the joints and then I am ready to make the French Vanilla coffee!

    I love my cup of spiced Chai in the mornings, for sure… Especially while I am getting the kids breakfast ready. We go through a lot of canned biscuits, but here’s what I do. I put all the biscuits out to bake in a pan, but I brush a little bit of butter on top of them before cooking, then I take some maple sugar sprinkle (in in the spice aisle) and sprinkle it over the butter. Bake. Walah! YUMMY!

    I need to eat some protein with my caffeine. Something hot such as coffee or tea in the winter and something cold in the summer. Iced coffee, tea or diet coke. To make a low fat scrambled eggs I use two egg whites and one yolk. I add low fat cheese too.

No coffee for me means nothing nice for anybody around me:) Here’s a tip: to flavor your coffee quick, on the go, without lots of calories, buy the Swiss Miss low calorie hot chocolate packets, dump 1/3 or 1/4 of the packet in your coffee!!! Yummy! and easy to do at work!!

    I don’t need an alarm clock in the morning, i’ve got a 2 year old who refuses to let me sleep once he’s up, which is usually about 6 am!! When i am up, i usually make peanut butter & jelly sandwhiches for everyone and drink a red bull on occasion.

    When i get the chance to go to starbucks there iced caramel macciato and iced chia are like a little sip of heaven!

    In the morning, my 2-year-old wakes me pretty early. Then the first thing we do is go sit outside on the back porch. If I’m really tired, then coffee helps, but usually just the sun and breeze are a happy start to my day!

    Blueberry French Toast

    8 oz loaf French bread
    1 cup fresh blueberries
    2 cup milk
    3 large eggs
    ¼ cup sugar
    ¼ tsp vanilla extract
    ¼ cup sugar
    ¼ tsp cinnamon
    2 tblsp butter or margarine
     
    Cut bread diagonally into eight 1½” thick slices. Cut a 2” long slit 1” deep in top of each slice to form a pocket. Divide blueberries into 8 portions; fill pockets with berries.
    Whisk together milk, eggs, ¼ cup sugar & vanilla. Combine ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon in cup. Set both aside.
    Soak bread slices in egg mixture 30 seconds to 1 minute.

    My husband has gotten me hooked on the french vanilla or mocha slushies at our local gas station.
    In the summer my family adapts to my husbands work schedule which he works 7:00 pm – 7:00 am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Monday and Tuesday its from 4:30 am – 2:00 pm and Wednesday its from 1:30 am – 7:00 am. So we wake up late so its hard not to want a cool refreshing drink in the Florida heat.
    I’v never tried Starbucks so this would be a great prize to win.

    Boil-n-bag scrambled eggs, you scramble your eggs with whatever ingredients, ham, cheese, etc. Put it in a ziplock freezer bag, place in a pan of boiling water until cooked, wha-la! No oil, way easy clean up. You gotta eat breakfast!
