Nowali…It’s a moccasin and a sock!

I just recently ran across Nowali socks/moccasins. When it is particularly cool in the house or during the winter months I am always in search of slippers for the boys. Most of the slippers I have run across are either too big and bulky or fall off their feet.
We have mostly hardwood floors in the house, so if I just put on regular socks, someone undoubtedly would slip and fall. I needed something that is a happy medium that wouldn’t get in the way of their little feet, and afford them some traction.
I ran across Nowali Moccasin/Socks and they are absolutely wonderful and fit the bill perfectly. They are basically socks that are moccasins. Nowali Moccasins are made in Sweden, have soft leather soles so their little feet can move freely, double elastic at the ankle keeps them in place, and the bottoms are non-skid, and you can toss them in the washing machine! They come in a bunch of adorable prints and patterns, so you have lots to choose from. These are a perfect stocking stuffer or baby gift not only practical but unique and affordable.

My favorite pair of moccasins are from Taos, New Mexico, and they are 17 years old! They are very special to me because I got them from the town square in Taos while shopping with my great-great grandmother, my grandmother, and my mom. 4 generations of women!! My great-great grandmother always insisted we “take me to town” when we visited Taos, NM, and she insisted I get the moccasins because I am part Navajo Indian! My great-great grandma lived to be 103 years old! Thank you for the contest!

I love the adult moccasins – they are simple and classic. I actually wish they had children’s versions to match the adults.
I also love that they are machine washable, because too often my slippers get too dirty to wear before they wear out.

I love the strips and dots! my son had a pair of the cable knit ones 2 years ago and wore them until he went in to shoes when he started to walk. I cant wait to get some for my twin girls but I am a little ahead of myself as they are only 5 months old and it is 90 degrees out! BUT IN THE FALL IT WILLBE THE FRIST THING I BUY!!!

I like the brown flower mocs. We have hardwood floors too so these would be great to keep my 2 1/2 yo from slipping around since she likes to run everywhere she goes.
I love the fire truck moccasin. I’ve been looking at these for awhile now because they keep feet warm, but are sturdy enough on the bottom that he could come out and get the newspaper with me.
