I love gift cards, simply because it allows me to get the things that I actually want rather than getting something that makes me cringe. I recently had the opportunity to receive a Safeway “My Choice Gift Card” and thought I would share it all with you! Like Sandy above, I’d probably get more basics. Some wheat flour, some yeast, so I could start a sourdough starter. I think I’ll start making my own bread again, she money is tight. Or I’ll buy the supplies to start making my own homemade laundry detergent since I found free recipes for it on the internet. I know I could save at least $6.00 a month making my own laundry soap.

Everybody needs help in buying food. We are trying to feed 7 people and it is getting harder and harder everyday.
Safeway is one of the few grocers in our area, I could use the card to help pay for our regular shopping excursions.

Safeway is a great place, and they’re a half a mile away so we usually walk there. I like that they’ll combine coupons, but even more than that, I like their sandwiches and a Starbucks coffee, this would be a treat! thanks!

I would love to win the Von’s (Safeway) card so that I can help out my extended family. My sister and her husband lost their jobs, and all their possessions in a sheriff’s sale the week before Christmas. They have four young children, and so I am doing what I can to help them.
