Electrasol Finish Quantum Review and Giveaway

As a stay at home mom, I am almost always cleaning or doing dishes on a regular basis. We typically run our dishwasher once a day or every other day, so it gets a pretty good work out. I have always stuck to one brand of dishwashing detergent for the dishwasher simply because it was the brand that I knew.
I recently gave Electrasol Quantum Finish and Jet Dry Turbo Dry a try, and was pleasantly surprised. In fact, I think that I am an official convert. Quantum Finish comes in those little bricks that I have always seen in the stores but just passed by them. First of all, I couldn’t imagine that this little brick was going to get my dishes clean, and secondly, I just imagined it would turn into clumps at the bottom of my dishwasher, sort of like the powder.
So I decided to give this stuff a try and really put it to the test. The biggest test for me was dried oatmeal, and I impulsively wanted to rinse all my dishes the way I normally do before running our dishwasher, but I decided to put them all directly in with no rinsing. I felt like a rebel, but I wanted to put these tiny, and very cool looking bricks , too the test.
So I set the dishwasher to go, in the morning after breakfast, oatmeal and all, and patiently waited to see how well it worked. I was amazed at the results, so much that, I don’t think I want to use anything else. The dishes came out dry (thanks to Jet Dry Turbo Dry), and best of all completely clean! I was amazed at just how clean everything was, my other dishwashing detergent, always left a little something on a bowl or fork here and there, but I found nothing. My dishwasher is 19 years old. It still works but could use a boost. I currently buy whatever is on sale or I have a coupon for.

No matter what I’ve tried my dishwasher leaves bits of food on my dishes. I had having to rewash half the dishes I take out!
I am currently using cascade powder but it changes every time I go to the store. I have not found anything I like yet. My dishes go in the dishwasher cleaner than they come out. I would love to try this product and see how clean my dishes get, make me a believer.

I use cheap Walmart Great Value dishwasher soap and it works to a degree! Id love to try this product though! Always need something that will work better! Love the 2 bowl exampla!!!!!!!
Currently, I am using a storebrand dishwasher powder and it’s NOT doing the job! Sometimes I waste time and money having to rewash the stupid dishes LOL

I’d like to win because I only use the Dishwasher every other day and often end up with stuck on food on dishes, meaning I either have to wash them or put them back in the Dishwasher for another go through. I’m currently using Cascade.

I’d love to win because our dishwasher hasn’t been replaced since these apartments were built (a loooong time), and we’ve yet to find a detergent that works well. So far we’ve tried Seventh Generation, Cascade, and a few others; we settled on Cascade as the best so far.
In my attempt to save some pennies, I’ve been buying the store brand dishwashing soap and it’s not cutting the mustard…literally. Food is still on the plates after I pull them out of the dishwasher. I’ve passed by those tiny bricks because , like you, I was skeptical that they’d do the job. I’d love to give it a try after reading your review.

I generally buy what’s on sale, Cascade at this point. Since thee are just two of us, my dishwasher isn’t run daily, it would be nice to have a cleaner that would insure cleanliness of some day old dirty dishes.
I use cascade now, but only because my mother in law went out and bought the wrong kind and bought the largest box of it and I didn’t have the heart to tell her the kind she got sucked. it’s almost gone though!

I actually use the Electrasol with Jet Dry. I have seen these new ones in the store and they look awesome. I have been wanting to try them.
I would love to try these. I currently use the Cascade dual-action pacs with Dawn in them — and they work pretty good. I love the convenience of just tossing in a pac / brick and turning on the dishwasher! I feel like I probably save money in the long run, because I used to always overfill the cups.

I’d like to win because I hate dishes!!! My husband is now doing the dishes stricktly to avoid my eventual nervous breakdown. Although I am so very appreciative, (here’s the part where I insult him….thank God he wont be reading this!) he has no idea what he’s doing. He uses Sunlight or quite frankly whatever’s on sale and thinks that when he puts the dishes in the dishwasher someone is magically in there sorting and scrubbing away. Thanks for the giveaway…We have hard water in our area (our water softener system is busted & needs to be replaced) and I read on the Electrasol Quantum Finish web page that their detergent works well in hard water; that, and the use of the new Jet Dry should enhance the cleaning performance of our dishwasher.

Ok, so here’s the deal. I use Costco brand generic automatic dishwashing powder. Great name, I know… I think it has an actual name like Kirkland or something, but whatever. According to a famous non-sponsored consumer’s rating magazine, that stuff is just as good as this stuff and costs about 40% less. I would love to do my own comparison though, since, which I love love love saving money, I have been a little disappointed in the quality of my wash sometimes and I can’t help but wonder whether its the dishwasher itself, my DH screwing something up (bless his heart for actually doing them sometimes) or a potential inferior quality of wash detergent. Ok, so thats the basics of it, so send me some stuff to test! I love proving things to myself.
I use Palmolive gel and I don’t think it does the best job. I would like to try this to see if it improves my dishes.
I use Finish (Electrasol); I really love it, but have not tried Quantum Finish, and would really like to. Thank you!

We use electosol currently but I would love to try the new line. We have super hard water and if we don’t use good soap/rinse agent we get horrible buildup.

Electrasol Finish powerballs are much better than the old liquid electrasol. I used to have a mineral build up of lime stained inside of my dishwasher, even bleach couldn’t get it out! One run of a powerball got most of it out and now my dishwasher is white and clean, I still can’t get over what an amazing job it does!
I currently use Cascade but am unhappy as the dishes aren’t all coming out clean.
I would like to win so I can try it and see how it works. My current dishwashing detergent that I use is Palmolive.
I currently use whatever is on sale for my dishwashing detergent. But I would love to try something to remove the water spots on my dishes
I’ve been using the eco palmolive, but I’m not very happy with it’s cleaning power. I would love to try this instead.

I currently use Cascade Liquid w/Bleach.
I have been wanting to try these as our dishwasher liquid always seems to leave traces on our silverware. And I would love to remedy that.

I love electrasol
I use Electrasol gelpacs and I’d love to win because it would save me some money!
I bought one package of these tablets, expensive, and after using 4 tablets, on 4 different dishwasher loads of dirty dishes, soap bubbles were coming up in my sink and filling the sink up, in addition the suds was slowing the water flow out of the kitchen drain. I had to call a plumber to rod out the drain, and was very disturbed with an almost $200 bill, which I never had this problem with Cascade.
After complaining to mfg, they would take no responsibility for all of the over sudsing, and denied any problem with product.
Despite complaints about finish powerball being all over the internet for ruining the switches in some makes of dishwashers, they could not see that they had a problem with over sudsing.
Very disappointed with this destructive product, and mfg will not admit the problem., I would hate to see someone else with a huge plumbing bill for using this stuff, or actually ruining their dishwasher, as I understand it may do with some models.
In fact one country, Finland, ,maybe, has ordered mfg of this product to reimburse consumers for dishwasher repairs. No such luck here.
Bad product, destructive to dishwasher switches, and possible drain problems from over sudsing.
oh, btw, check out the website “Samauri Appliance Repairman” for the low down on Finish Powerball Quantum tabs. they say it is a bozo nono for dishwashers.
I haven’t had any issues with the Electrasol Quantum Finish. In fact I have gone through about 10 boxes of them and they are working great for me. FOr me they tend to clean a little better than cascade so I switched. I will admit that they are bit on the pricey side though.
