Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Breast Pump Review And Giveaway

After having the boys, I was so overwhelmed to say the least. After 16 weeks of bedrest and 8 of those weeks in the hospital, and the fact that I was a first time mother and pregnant with twins, was a pretty big deal. As a new mother you have so many questions about how to do things and what you should be doing, but I had always known that I wanted to breastfeed the boys. I had not realized the importance of breastfeeding until they were born 6 weeks early and spent close to three weeks in the NICU.
For preemies, providing them with breast milk as soon as possible was something my nurses encouraged because they say that the milk you produce then is different and would provide my babies with a lot of things they needed. I can remember the first few days at home, and crying because I wanted to give up pumping, but my two tiny little men in the NICU, made me keep on going. I would pump all through the night and visit them sometimes 2-3 times a day and bring them all my pumped breast milk.
I never quite got the hang of breastfeeding them together, and one of my little guys has a tongue tie that prevented him from feeding properly so I would pump for him and for both of them when I needed a break. Pumps can be a lifesaver, and are great when you need the break or if you have two babies and one doesn’t do well at the breast, you can still give them pumped milk in a bottle.
I was excited to review Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Breast Pump because since I am a breastfeeding mother, I like to see what is out there on the market currently and for in the future when we decide to have another child. The pump itself is very easy to use, and easy to hold, and comfortable and this is important. It is not overly noisy which was a pet peeve of mine with one of the pumps that I own. At three in the morning the last thing I want to be hearing is a loud squeaking noise, and especially with sleeping babies nearby. I had no trouble using this and all parts are easy to clean and better yet BPA free.

Proper portion control, which sounds very important. We want this for our daughter who is having her first child
proper portion control mverno@roadrunner.com
Ibuprofen is a preferred analgesic for breast feeding mothers ~ They link to http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/search which lets you type in a med name and then it lets you know if and how much it is excreted in breast milk…handy site! I would love to have this for my sister who is due this summer ~
I learned that companies with an employee lactation support program experience less turnover and lower losses of skilled workers after childbirth. Additionally, these companies are rewarded with higher employee satisfaction, loyalty, and morale.
This pump would be prefect for when I head back to work.
i learned about proper portion control when feeding my kids. thanks for the contest
Proper portion control…
I’m 6-month pregnant…
hope to win…
thanks for the chance…
I learned that the new snuggli hug is easy to adjust and comfortable for you and baby. I would like to win because I gave my breast pump to a friend and now would like another one.
I just went back to work this week after having a baby in January. I know the importance of breastfeeding my baby and need a good pump to keep my supply up while I am working. Like many others, I was interested in the proper portion control information.
I learned that Smart Steps is a proud partner in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s MyPyramid.gov Corporate Challenge and Project M.O.M., which are dedicated to improving family nutrition, ending childhood obesity and transforming the way American families eat.
I learned you can purchase their pumps online at Amazon or at Target. I believe nursing is one of the greatest gifts you can give your little one and I intend to do so. However, since I will still be working outside of the home, I will need to do some pumping!
i learned that our state doesn’t have a milk bank =( (ne) but thankfully one state over does (ia)

I am pregnant with my second and would love to breast feed longer than I did with my first. I was only able to breast feed for 4 months because I didn’t have a pump and I’m too modest to bf in public! Thanks so much for the chance!!!
I JUST added your button to my blog!
And NOW I’m following you on twitter(twoofakind)

This really tells you some of the nutritional information you need in order to breastfeed.
What a great contest ~ Thanks for posting!
I so agree! I had a cheap pump and it was a nightmare! I really wish I had a good one early on. My supply could have been so much better.
This would be great for my niece who is expecting her first baby 🙂
The proper portion control.
I would love to win this! I’m going to be a first time mommy soon and I’m really looking forward to breastfeeding.

I love that the snuggli hug is so easy to adjust! I really love the checklist and printed it out the minute I saw it. I am a first time mom of a 7 week daughter and I admit that I can use all the tips and help I can get!
I learned that you should nurse a newborn 10-12 times daily! While I’m sure I did that with my first born, it’s too much of a blur to remember 🙂 I wore out my first breast pump with my first born so I need to get a new one before the new baby comes! This is such a great giveaway, thank you!

I think that the proper portion control information was really helpful. I would like this for me as I am expecting my first in Nov.
I learned that they have instructional videos for their carseats which is great because a lot of people have their seat installed incorrectly. I had to borrow a pump from a friend so it would be nice to have my own. Thanks for the chance!
I am following on twitter – username of justicecw. thanks for the chance!
I learned – Use caution in creating web sites for your new baby or posting photographs of your child on web sites. Predators can access this identifying information, and the photographs become part of the world wide web. You have no control over the use, or misuse, of these materials once they are posted.
Thats very good advice!

I learned you should watch what you put on a birth announcement and never put your surname on there. I would love to win for my sister.
I did not know you could donate your milk.
I learned to exercise caution when either posting pics or creating a site to post pics of the baby. You have no idea who will access them or what they will do with them
I would give this as a gift to a good friend of mine that is pregnant with twins and due in two months
I learned proper portion control when feeding kids which will help my brother-in-laws wife becuase she is expecting

I had no idea there were so many human milk banks in the US.

I never even knew there was such a thing as a milk bank- learn something new every day.
I want to win this for my good friend who just had a little boy next week. she does not have one yet
thanks
Frankly, I learned that alot has aparently changed since my mom had babies… we had a long talk about what to expect, including during breast feeding, but after looking at Evenflo, some (most) of her info seems dated, not that I would ever tell her that! Our first isn’t due until Nov, but I would love to win this so that I can cross another thing off of our ludicously long “have to get by Nov.” list 🙂 Thanks for the great (and, in my case, timely) contest!
I added you to my twitter

id love to win this for my sister who is expecting 🙂
From the website I went to Kelly Mom Breastfeeding and Parenting which was a resource link. I learned that the best way to fend off criticism against breastfeeding is to educate people. I would like to win this for a young low-income pregnant woman I know. I think it would be great for her. Thanks!

I learned that A proper latch is crucial to success. This is the key to successful breastfeeding. They say to make sure you get help with this before you leave the hospital. I would love to win this, the fact that it has a double pump is just awesome. It would make things so much easier and quicker.

I was reading through alot of the realted resources and will continue reading more. I read that carrying a baby close to you, in a snuggly or the likes, improves your stress level and increases the baby’s brain development. Great benefits!
I would really love to win this for my friend who just had her baby on the 7th. She doesn’t have a pump but is breastfeeding. She and I both qould appreciate it.
Thank you 🙂
La Leche League was created in 1956.
I’d love to win because i’m nursing twins 🙂
