Toshiba NB205 New Little Beauty
Toshiba is hopping on board with their version of the netbook. Their approach to the wait look and listen to the consumer has apparently paid off on this one. The Toshiba NB205 will be showing up on the shelves by June 23rd and this is one that you will want to set your sights on, especially if you are glued to your computer like me.
As a mom and a blogger, I am on my laptop a good 9-10 hours a day and sometimes more. And this new little beauty in the land of netbooks, has a battery with a 9 hour life. The Toshiba NB205 has a 10.1 inch display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, a 160GB hard drive, and 1GB of RAM (which can be upgraded to 2GB). Some of the other features which I am finding appealing includes a full size keyboard and touchpad, something that is hard to find amongst the netbooks. It comes in some stylish colors too, including my favorites of blue and pink. Even better, is its sheer size and weight of just 2.9lbs, and small enough to fit in your purse.
Sometimes slow and steady wins the race and I think Toshiba has a winner in the NB205. Its often the not the first that comes off the assembly lines that is best, but the ones that are refined and tweaked that make the cut. This is something that for a busy mom like me, is perfect. I can take it anywhere with me, it serves me well for my uses, and doesnt take up the space. Last thing I need is more to tote around with two toddlers! The price is perfect at around $350 and, it looks chic too!
I have been considering one of these for my daughter that graduated this year, she has been pestering me now for quite some time. She would love this pink! I like the fact that this has a full keyboard, all the other ones seem too scrunched.
Finally! I have been waiting for something from Toshiba, this is going to be perfect for some of my one day business trips.

Fits in your purse? Wow? I have never heard of these small laptops. Do they do all the same things as a large one. This would be wonderful to not have to lug around a big laptop bag.
I can’t believe how small these things are… 2.9 pounds? That’s perfect for me since I’m always on the go.

That’s just what I want! I don’t want to lug around some heavy bag, but I do want wifi and a full size KB. The Toshiba is one of the models I’m considering.
Neat! I’ve never heard of an atom processor, what is that? How does it stack up against a regular processor? Will doublebugs be doing a review on one of these?
