I cannot believe that Summer is pretty much gone and all the kids are back in school! I am going to miss the warm days when the boys could be outside all the time. Fall, is also one of my favorite times of the year because all the leaves are turning and you can sit in the evenings by a fire. I haven’t read too many good books lately but thinking of the colder weather makes me want to curl up with one. There is nothing like a crisp Fall day and a walk in the park with a caramel apple! Here’s a great recipe:
6 chicken breast halves, boneless, pounded flat
1 container Cream Cheese with Chives
Bacon Strips
Spread each chicken breast with cream cheese, roll up, and wrap each roll with 2 slices bacon, one going each way. Place in a baking dish, bake 45 minutes at 400 degrees. 3 ingredients, simple, delicious!
My favorite thing about fall is the crisp air that wakes you up. As soon as you step foot out of the house, you can take a deep breath and look at the beautiful colors of the leaves. It’s very invigorating!

favorite fall recipe- well I love it when it gets cold so you can have hot food again, warming up the house- but my favorite is just taking any vegetables and stock and simmer in the crock pot adding noodles at the end…Yep and I do love the fact I can buy a turkey and pop it in the oven all day to warm up the house and I have meat for a week
I love this time of year as it is harvest time. I have been filling my home with the smell of zuchinni bread, cake and other staples to help us through the winter season. Love the smells that permiate through the air.

I know summer will not be over until September 22, but I can not wait till fall my favorite season. That season I just love, with all the beautiful colors of nature and the way the sky looks, it is just fascinating.
I love the cool weather and the colors changing on the trees. It is time to bake an apple pie to fill the house with the delicious aroma of apples and cinnamon.

Fall is my favorite season. I live in a high humidity area and I hate humidity. I long for the cool crisp days of fall. I love to pull out my sweaters and hoodies and wear my comfy jeans without feeling hot. I love the colors of fall and the smell of neighbors burning leaves in their yards. Ahhh….
Fall is pure heaven for me…I love the cold air that makes my nose run on long walks, the smell of burning fires, baking cookies, hot coffee…the feel of being wrapped up in an afghan on the couch, reading a book, and sipping cocoa or cider…the feel of warm sweaters and cozy tights too…

I love both fall and spring. Fall because of the trees and all the leaves. I also like it because my birthday is in the fall and I always start college in the fall. I like the spring because of the rain and flowers. Both of the seasons are amazing because the air is clearer.

It’s starting to cool down and here’s my families favorite cool weather recipe:
Chicken Pot Pie
4-6 boneless,skinless chicken breasts-frozen
5-6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 bag of baby carrots or 6-7 carrots peeled and sliced
2 cans of cream of chicken-mushroom soup (or 1 can cream of chicken + 1 can cream of mushroom soups-reduced fat is ok)
1 soup can of water
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup of frozen peas
1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits or butter biscuits (low-fat is okay).
Prep: cut frozen chicken breasts into cubes. It’s much easier to cut them frozen than cook and then cut.
In large pot, mix cans of soup, 1 soup can of water, bouillon cube and chopped onion. Add chicken, potatoes and carrots. Cook, covered, over medium heat until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender (approximately 45 minutes)Stir occasionally. Add peas and cook 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.
Preheat oven to biscuit temperature on package. Pour soup mixture into 9×13 glass pan. Remove biscuits from package and cut in half. Arrange biscuits over top of the soup mixture. Cook in preheated oven until biscuits are brown (according to package directions, usually 8-10 minutes). Remove from oven and let set 5 minutes and serve.

Around this time of year my girls love sliced apples with caramal dip. Also, this is when I start making homemade meatballs and sauce. As soon as my daughter comes home from school she smells it and smiles.

Cut up a stick of butter into pats
put a few pats of butter inside each pear
Make a mixture of cinnamon and sugar (we like a little more sugar to cinnamon and sprinkle about a tablespoon inside each pear
Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes

Fall will always be my favorite season. I love the woodsy, leafy, rainy smells. The air is crisp but not cold yet, makes it feel fresh. I can cuddle under a blanket once again. No more sweating! The colors, especially in New England are a beautiful kaleidoscope! Pumpkins, gourds, back to school, new clothes, scarecrows, Halloween and wide-eyed children asking for treats, I love it all!

Fall & Halloween remind me of a childhood treat. Mom would make big delicious popcorn balls & wrap them in waxed paper for Trick or Treaters. Sis & I always hoped there would be lots of them left over for us!

Since it’s still hot and humid and we are still in hurricane season the only thing I get to really look forward to in the fall is Halloween because we always have a big party at the house and I love to decorate for it.

Fall is my favorite season because of the foliage. There’s nothing that compares to a hillside of burning red and orange trees.
My family loves to go apple picking in the fall. It is a blast to all head off to the orchard and pick apples while taking in the colors of the changing trees. We then head home and make multiple batches of apple sauce to can as well as yummy apple pies and muffins.
I love the Fall season because my husband and I look forward for the Covered Bridge Festivals in the Pennsylvania area. It is just beautiful! we get to see all the bridges and in the olden days called them the Kissing Bridge when the guy tries to steal a kiss from the girl on the bridge. My husband and I are seniors and he still tries to steal a kiss. It is so romantic and that is the Fall season to us.

I love summer because of the general happy, relaxed attitute it produces in at least me. 🙂 But really I prefer the fall because the summer is just too hot in so cal.
I like the spring when the snow is gone, it warms up but isn’t too hot yet, it’s just right. I get to put away the coats and start wearing shorts again, the cherry blossoms start blooming and the other flowers and plants start sprouting too.

One of the best things about Fall for me is the crisp, sweet apples. A good way to cook fresh apples is to use a knife to cut out the stem and core, without cutting all the way through the bottom of the apple. Stuff the hole with mini-chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows. Then wrap the apple in aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. It’s really delicious!
