It’s a TRUUUUUCK!!!

Monkey is fascinated with anything that has wheels these days.  For the longest time he would call everything CAWWWS or better knows and Cars.  I started trying to differentiate between cars and trucks for him.  For awhile he would just continue calling everything a car and then one day he said TRUUUUCK! And so then everything he saw became a truck!  Well as a proud Momma…I am happy to say he can now tell the difference!  We were looking through a book and he called the fire truck “TRUUUCK” and the van “CAWWW”…close enough!  Kids amaze me!

Monkey See Monkey Do

Kids are like little sponges I tell ya.  I was sitting out on the porch swing the other day and I was telling Monkey “no no” to something he was getting into.  I always point my finger and say “no no.”  Well just as I did that, Bubs turns around and goes “no no” and points his finger the same way.  Although I was trying to maintain a serious look…I just had to bust out laughing!   It is funny to see little mirror images of yourself.  Time to really be careful in what I say!

Good TV Show

The boys don’t really get to watch a whole lot of television but one day I ran across this show on Noggin The name of the show is Jack’s Big Music Show and the boys simply love it. We have managed to record all of the episodes and they just love it when we put it on and they can dance!

Climbing fun

As you can imagine, toddlers are just really busy little humans! My two are at the stage where they love to climb on everything in the house. I have found them dancing on the kitchen table or climbing the gate to the stairs! With the weather getting warmer we are looking for something for them to climb and play on when outside so they stay out of the woods and other various things. I ran across the perfect swing/climber for them..it is just their size! It’s the ClubHouse Swingset by Little Tikes. They would have a blast on this thing!

Going to the grocery store!

As you can imagine going to the stores with twins can be challenging!  The first challenge is managing to get them and yourself dressed and ready to go out the door.  Then you have to get everyone herded into one place in order to get them in the car.  Once you arrive you are faced with where to put them as many places don’t have carts made for two!  If they do have them, then I find myself searching the parking lot prior to unloading them from the car.  A lot of times, I just find myself waiting for my husband to get home so we can just push one in each cart.  You’d think with the increase in multiple births..that all stores would have the accomodations.

Quiet kids and Maple Syrup

When the boys are playing you can usually hear them clanking around in the room they are in. The old saying holds true that when they are quiet they are in to something that they shouldn’t be. One day I left to go put a few towels away and run to the bathroom and when I came back our nice light colored berber carpet was covered in a whole bottle of maple syrup along with my son Bubs who had it dripping from his ears! Thank goodness for my spot cleaner! Nothing is safe not even for a minute HA!

Naked Nuggets

I am always looking for good ideas for meals for the boys. It is always difficult when you are trying to come up with 3 meals every day for 7 days! One afternoon while we were at Costco we ran across these Naked Nuggets. They aren’t breaded which makes them healthier than most and they are easy to prepare. The boys love them and I usually serve a vegetable and fruit. I love easy, yet healthy meals!

The sounds of silence….

Have you ever just wanted a little peace and quiet? I just love to sit in the living room on some nights with the tv off and just sit there and listen to nothing. It is such a nice way to quiet your mind and thoughts! My husband argues that sleep is there to serve that purpose. Sometimes after a long day of noise, chatter and temper tantrums…it’s nice to just hear absolutely nothing!

Nervous Tick???

So we had a busy weekend and decided to take the boys out for a walk one evening. I decided to get an early night and Monkey was sleeping in our bed so I crawled in next to him and started to drift off to sleep when I felt something on my ear. I grabbed what felt like a crumb or something and realized it felt a little like a tick. So I wake up my husband, and ask him to hand me the flashlight. He fumbles around and knocks it off the table, so I just tell him nevermind but decided to get up and check anyway. I look around on the mattress and see nothing and decide to check under Monkey’s head. And sure enough there it was! EEK! So my husband quickly got up and got the thing and put it to its demise. Living by the woods means we have to be very vigilant about checking us and the boys for ticks because they carry lots of disease and bacteria. I decided to include some info on ticks in my post. They are nasty little critters! *All about Ticks*

YUCK YUCK YUCK

I miss my lens :(

So I turned my good lens in to get it repaired and the guy says it was running about 6 weeks turnaround for the Canon service center. I thought, ok, that’s reasonable so I let the camera store send it off. Well it has now been 10 weeks and 2 days since they have had my lens and well I am getting rather P-O’d! I cannot imagine what is taking so long. I suspect that someone messed up along the way and no one can give me a straight answer. I will be calling again for the 10th time to see if they know where it is. Someone has alot of explaining to do! Grrrrr.
