Busy Day
It was a beautiful day out today so the boys and dh got out to play. I spent a lot of my day catching up on the dreaded laundry that only seems to multiply. The minute you think you are done, there seems to be another load sitting there mocking me.
I took the time today to make about 60 homemade meatballs for the freezer, made a fresh batch of brownies, and made a roast, with carrots, mashed potatoes, rolls for dinner. After all of that I must say I am worn out so, I will be heading to bed early tonight, if you consider 10 pm early.
My new goal now is to start really watching our money for grocery spending. It is difficult sometimes to determine our budget with food and it seems like I live at the grocery store. Today I did well, and spent $50 and managed to get a cart full. I have been cutting coupons and I really watch the local ads and there is some serious money to be saved if you just do a little research. I will have to keep you updated on my endeavor. It is hard with figuring out meals, especially when you are in a rut but I plan on sticking with our budget.
Small Talk Six Things I Love That Are Green

This week’s Small Talk Six are the things that I love that are green.
- Money has to be at the top of my list simply because I never seem to have enough of it. I think if I could have just enough to pay everything and have fun money left over that would be perfect!
- Green M&M’s. Ever since I was a little girl and my aunt told me they were the best, they are my favorite.
- The Grass. I don’t love to cut it but I love when it is green. It means that the weather is nice and Winter is over.
- All Green vegetables except Brussel Sprouts.
- Peeps, I love Green peeps and blue ones too!
- My couch, it is so comfy, and my favorite spot is my recliner that’s built in.

Panasonic Living in HD Technology And Community Come Together
We all know Panasonic for all the excellent electronics that they make, I can remember I worked all summer babysitting one year to pay for a Panasonic TV. With technology changing at such a rapid pace, it is always nice when you have a place where you can go to dicuss and share about upcoming technologies, ideas, tips and tricks, and just a general place to share. Panasonic has created and awesome online community to do just that.
LivinginHD is an interactive forum where individuals can share their real-life experiences and expertise–with the goal of helping one another use technology more creatively in their every day lives. One of the best parts about the project is it is working to bring families together by exploring different ways in which you can use technology to create and be creative.
There is a wealth of information on the site and I love seeing all the personal videos of real people using the products. I know when I am busy learning how to use something and especially electronics it is nice to have a little help if there is something I don’t understand. Having it presented by normal people and moms especially makes it a little easier to understand. There is so much to see, like learning how to ensure that your TV is safely mounted on your wall, so important for anyone but especially if you have young children. There is a really cool video on how to share and store your child’s artwork which I love.
There are so many benefits to being a part of this community. You can connect with other like minded people. You can express yourself through photos and videos and inspire creativity in others. You can share your love for Panasonic products and ask questions about them and so much more.
If you become a member, you can apply to join the LiHD program where Panasonic outifts families with the latest and greatest HD products so they can learn and teach others how technology can enrich and improve your life. I encourage you to have a look, you will leave with more than you came with and connect with a wonderful community!
Advanced Maternal Age: The Age Of The Dinosaur So It Seems
That big phrase, that nasty sounding, I am doomed phrase that lingers in women’s ears who are heading on their journey to have their first child or maybe thinking about having another. I am one of those moms that would really like to have just one more little bundle to complete our family.
I just turned 36 last month and I cringe when I say the number, simply because I have been preconditioned to think that the eggs in my ovaries have suddenly become fossilized. I hear about all the chances of having a baby with downs, I think it is like 1 in 400. I hear that I may not have any eggs left, or my chances of having twins is greater (been there done that!). As a patient, I am now viewed as high risk, and feel like if I set up an appointment I should have my knee highs on, my dentures in, and walking with a cane.
I will definitely be considered high risk because of my pregnancy with the boys. I survived many scares, 16 weeks of bed rest, 8 of those weeks in the hospital, 18 days of the the boys being in the NICU, and still livedto tell about it, so I think that being 36 is really no big deal or is it?
I know that there are some risks, but seriously are they so much greater than some of the normal risks that come along with pregnancy. I can remember a my Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist who I nicknamed the spaz, because I thought that it was his job to scare the babies out of me, rather than keep them in. In retrospect I know that he was just covering his butt.
The fact is, I am probably at some risk due to my age, but I still have the energy to run after my twin 2.5 yr old spitfires, get my house cleaned (well sort of), manage the meals, and eventually I may have be cheerleader at the local sports field. And despite all the nay sayers, I really would like one more sweet baby (hoping for a girl), so I can experience the wonder of it all just one more time.
So ill leave the archeologist to find the fossils and hope that my eggs aren’t among them!

When Do You Let Your Kids Out To Play?
So being a new mom, I am sort of learning as I go and have become a pro at other things. Since having the boys, life has certainly had it’s twists and turns. I often times wonder what I did with my time before they were born because it seems like my days are blur. No two days are alike, and there are some days like today, where I just wanted to cry.
I think outdoor play is so important and with the weather getting nicer, we love to be outside as a family. The boys simply adore walking on the path out back, playing in the sandbox, and just being outdoors. I love it because they can burn off all that boy energy that they seem to have. My husband and I were discussing when we should be able to let the boys to play outside on their own. I feel compelled to watch their every move because they are only 2.5 yrs old and since I have two of them, someone is always doing or getting into something they shouldn’t. I see some kids in the neighborhood that are just out playing, and I wonder where their parents are. I simply don’t feel comfortable with letting them out without me or my husband with them. They just seem so not ready to be out playing alone and I don’t intend on letting them for a long time yet. So when do you let them out to play without watching their every move? It just seems scary to me, especially in this crazy world. I am a bit taken back by how young the kids I see playing alone, walking down the sidewalk with no parents in site. My two are just babies to me. Am I just being paranoid?

Blogher09 Companies Let Me Take You There!
I just recently got my conference pass to Blogher09, one of the biggest blogging events out there. I am so thrilled to be able to be a part of this great opportunity. Blogher09 will be bringing bloggers from every corner of the online blogosphere to provide hands on learning, discussions and opportunities to meet with the companies that support them along with huge networking opportunities. I cannot even begin to tell you how exciting this is…Will your company be there?
I have only been blogging for a short time and may still even be considered a rookie, but I have met some really terrific people and have worked with some fantastic companies, that I continue to work with even now, and I truly love being able to spread the word about them to readers everywhere. I would love to be able to take your company to Blogher and get your foot in the door a little further.
In case you haven’t heard, online media is huge and it’s NOW. Mom bloggers are firing up the blogosphere and are a sure avenue to get things heard. We are real people with real opinions and did you know, 80% of household buying is done by us? This means you want us on your side, and what better way than a blogging momma to get your product and company noticed in a place where you will have 1200 eager people at your disposal?
You don’t have to attend….let me do the leg work for you! As a blogger who you would sponsor, I will advertise you in my sidebar for the rest of 2009, hand out your business cards at the conference, hand out your buttons, your badges, SWAG bags or any other goodies you might like to send. All you have to do is help me with the cost of getting there and I will get your company in the right hands…1200 of them to be exact. This will save you a lot of time and get your company major exposure. Put your idea in the hands of one blogger let alone 1200 and you have just put the word out to thousands more. Us Momma bloggers have audiences that are listening!
I am on a mission and I am committed to make this the best experience for myself and the companies I will be representing, and I would love for that to be you. I hope to make some wonderful connections with new companies or ones I have worked with and am excited to be a part of Blogher09. Companies if you are listening…Let me take you there!
Tell anyone you know about this opportunity, Tweet about it, email me and let me be your ally!
Blogher here I come!!!!
