Wendy’s Father’s Day Frosty Weekend
Wendy’s Father’s Day Frosty Weekend is almost here! Kids (and grown-ups!) can also create their own special Father’s Day Card at www.Frostycard.com . For every FREE card created, Wendy’s will donate 50¢ to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA). You can choose your own background, pictures and text to send Dad a personalized eCard.
It’s a FREE way to support adoption and a fun way to say Happy Father’s Day.
Not only will Wendy’s donate 50¢ for every card created, but for every Frosty purchased in-store June 19 & 20, Wendy’s will also donate 50¢ to the DTFA.
The money raised will directly support Dave Thomas Foundation’s signature program – Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK). The program awards grants for adoption agencies to hire recruiters to aggressively work to place foster children into adoptive families. Wendy’s Wonderful Kids is active in all 50 states to place foster children with the loving families they deserve.
Here are some other fun ways in which Wendy’s will also help out! If you have Twitter, or Facebook.
• Twitter – Donation made each time a user tweets from the Treat it Forward application found on www.facebook.com/frosty (Treat it Fwd tab), or uses the hashtag: #TreatItFwd.
• Facebook – Donation made for each user that gives a Virtual Frosty as a gift on Facebook, or tells their friends about Father’s Day Frosty Weekend through the Facebook application found on www.facebook.com/frosty (Treat it Fwd tab).
• Foursquare – Donation made for every person that ‘checks-in’ to a Wendy’s during Father’s Day Weekend (June 19 – 20).
These are some really great ways in which you can help a great cause and enjoy a Frosty with your family this Father’s Day. I know where I will be headed this weekend. One less meal to cook, family time and a Frosty!

As a busy mom to twins I don’t always necessarily want to cook three meals a day, 7 days a week. You tend to get burned out really fast. For me it is a treat when my husband brings me home something, or makes a late night run, or when we can all just grab something that doesn’t require me standing in the kitchen.
One of my favorite things to eat are chicken wings, but the worst part about them, is the fact that they are all bone and not enough of the good stuff and tend to be rather messy. I like mine a little on the hot and spicy side but I also love barbeque wings as well. To my surprise, Wendy’s now has new boneless chicken wings. Made with 100% whole chicken breast, hand tossed in one of three sophisticated flavors: Bold Buffalo, Honey BBQ, and Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken you are sure to find one that you will love. We really enjoy going to Wendy’s especially for their Frosty’s in the Summer, and I love the fact that you can get more than just a plain burger when you go.
In addition to a great menu, I also feel like Wendy’s offers a healthier selection of food. I can’t wait to try their new Boneless Chicken Wings! I might be sending my poor husband on more late night runs to Wendy’s. You gotta love cravings! You are sure to find something to please all members of the family, and it is a great way to give Mom a break from the kitchen to let the whole family indulge in something they all love.

Wendy’s Father’s Day Frosty Weekend

Father’s Day is right around the corner and it is a time to celebrate families. I know it will be a day to remember Dad but I think it is a day that encourages families to celebrate each other. On the flip side of that, there are many children who don’t even have a family to celebrate with, and are in need of a place to be.
For the past three years, Wendy’s has made it a Father’s Day Frosty Weekend tradition to donate 50 cents from the sale of each Frosty to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The money raised goes to the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, which funds full-time adoption recruiters at local agencies across the U.S., who pair up parents with foster care children needing homes. So, you and your family can enjoy a Frosty and help out a child find a loving home. Frosties are one of our favorites in this house, so we will have no problem helping out!
You can also involve your own children in this great cause by having them create a fun Father’s Day eCard on FrostyCard.com. For every card they send, Wendy’s will donate an additional 25 cents to the Dave Thomas Foundation. Kids can attach coupons for “taking out the trash” or “washing the car” onto the cards for Dad. I think this is a terrific way to teach your child appreciation for the things they have in life and be able to help out a child that is less fortunate. It involves them, teaches them the value of giving, and they get to remember Dad.
I cant think of a better way to spend time with your family while helping to create a permanent place to call home for a child in need of a family. A frosty is a great way to have a fun day out for Father’s Day while helping make a difference. Thank you Mom Central and Wendy’s for telling me about such a good cause!
